In the modern, digitalized industrial environment, panel PCs with 15-inch take on a major role. In addition to demand-optimized performance, user-friendly operation is crucial for the profitable use of HMI solutions. "With the panel PCs we have developed, we want to offer industrial customers maximum freedom in the design of their application," explains Dipl.-Ing.(FH) Siegfried Riegel, Managing Director of SR System-Elektronik GmbH. This is how, among other things, the P-IPC series was created, in which industrial touch PCs with flat fronts are offered.
PC equipment according to the modular principle
The panel PC can be flexibly configured in various expansion stages (entry-value or high-performance) and is thus suitable for many different applications. In addition to the entry-level model of the IPC2 entry series with Intel® Pentium® or Intel® Atom™x7, the IPC4 value series with 11th generation Intel® Core™ i5/i3 is also available as a processor. These and other features, such as memory expansion, can be flexibly equipped either in the mentioned configuration levels according to customer requirements.
Display
The 15.6" panel PC is equipped with a 10-finger glass touch and enclosed in a very narrow aluminum frame. This means that the front is kept flat without any steps and there are therefore no annoying dirty edges. At the same time, however, the glass is enclosed in a narrow aluminum frame to protect it from knocks. For additional protection of the touch sensor against scratches or for anti-reflective coating, the display can be covered with a protective film. With its rounded corners, the panel PC is reminiscent of consumer devices and stands out from the previous, angular industrial design. In addition to the 15.6" display presented here, other display sizes are available depending on customer requirements.
Robust according to IP65 (front)
Industrial panel PCs are often exposed to harsh environmental conditions in their use - dust, dirt, vibrations, temperature fluctuations and much more can lead to malfunctions. Operation can also be impaired. For this reason, these robust MultiTouch Panel-PC have been purposefully developed by SR System-Elektronik. For installation, the HMI-PC has VESA 75/ 100 mounts and can thus be attached to machines or to the wall. Appropriate mounts are offered for this purpose. The VESA standard also allows mounting on a support arm solution. In addition, simple mounting brackets are available for easy installation in a desk cutout.
Windows® 10 IoT Enterprise 2021 LTSC:
As an embedded partner for Windows®, SR-Line panel PCs can optionally be pre-installed with the latest Windows 10 IoT Enterprise 2021 LTSC operating system. This means that customers not only benefit from robust and long-term available hardware ("form-fit-function" feature), but also receive an operating system that is precisely tailored to the needs of the industry. This can enable deployment for at least up to ten years.
Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC 2021 have premium features that are tailored to the requirements of large and medium-sized companies.
