RoHS-Regulation

The RoHS Directive (Restriction of certain Hazardous Substances) 2011/65/EU of the European Union (EU) regulates the restriction of the use of hazardous substances. It prohibits the use of certain substances in electrical and electronic equipment. It concerns the prohibition of the use of circulating lead, mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium and brominated flame retardants and polybrominated diphenyl ethers in electrical and electronic equipment.

The RoHS Directive 2015/863/EU amends the above directive and adds four additional substances, bis(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP), benzyl butyl phthalate (BBP), dibutyl phthalate (DBP), diisobutyl phthalate (DIBP).

SR SYSTEM-ELEKTRONIK produces built-in monitors and industrial computers in the EU area, therefore these directives are authoritative for SR SYSTEM-ELEKTRONIK.

SR SYSTEM-ELEKTRONIK supplies RoHS-compliant devices. Furthermore, all mechanical components are already manufactured in accordance with the applicable directives. The requirements include in particular compliance with limit values for the heavy metals lead, mercury, cadmium and chromium VI and the flame retardants PBB and PBDE.
